I just learned of Adrio’s passing, while watching the news this evening. He and my son, Garrett Owens, were friends, and Adrio was in our home a few times. He was such a bright, kind, respectful young man and I’m shocked and saddened to learn of this. Garrett always had great things to say about him and was greatful for Adrio’s friendship. Garrett is in Brazil on a 2-year church mission and will be deeply saddened by this news. He would often say he was excited to see what Adrio would do in life. Garrett would also joke with Adrio about how much work he had to put into everything, while Adrio barely showed up and got the best grade in everything! My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

We were so sorry to read about the loss Adrio. It is natural to have questions as to why we lose those we love. You can have faith that God has a plan for us to see our loved ones again on a paradise earth. The Bible promises that God “will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Rev. 21:4) We invite you to visit jw.org where you will find many free Bible based publications that will answer your questions and offer you support. Please feel free to contact us as well. May “the God of all comfort” (2 Cor. 1:3) be with you at this time.
