Anthony Edward Myers Sr. (aka Tony), 58, passed away on January 12, 2021, in Gilbert, Arizona.

Anthony was born in Washington D.C. on July 22, 1962, to Herbert Myers and the late Jewell Myers. Tony graduated from Potomac High School and went on to study Mortuary Science at the University of the District of Columbia. Although being an only child that did not stop him from becoming the social butterfly and eventually become loved by many. Throughout his life, he gained lifelong friendships with many who became his siblings.

Anthony continued to live the majority of his life in the South East area of Washington D.C.  Some of his passions included his love for dancing cooking and sports. Tony loved to dance, he specifically was known for doing Hand Dancing and also was apart of dance troops. His favorite football team was the Washington Redskins and nothing could change that. One of his final passions was for soul food.  He was an entrepreneur and owned a catering business named Mamadems.

In 2007 Anthony relocated to Delaware where he would find his greatest passion if all; being a father. In 2008 he became a father to his son Anthony Myers Jr, while also taking in his now step daughter Joelle Shepeard. Tony became a proud father and made sure he gave unforgettable memories to them. From road trips to amusement parks, and even feeding ducks with his son,he was their “nappy pappy” and never was too shy to have a great time.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his first and only son Anthony Myers Jr., stepdaughter Joelle Shepeard, ex-wife Myra Shepeard-Myers, and a host of family and friends in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Nevada, New York, and Arizona.
