Aurelia was welcomed to heaven by her son Rick on January 6, 2021. She leaves behind her husband Sofio and sons Jose, Sam, Angel, and Jaime Delgado. She was a grandmother and great grandmother to many children who appreciate her influence in their lives.
Aurelia was best known for her cooking and made a career of it. She raised her children in El Paso, Texas working to prepare meals for elementary school children. She later moved to Chandler, AZ where she ended her career preparing meals for senior citizens. She was the Kitchen Coordinator at the Gilbert Senior Center for more than 12 years managing meal preparation for the Gilbert and Chandler Senior Centers including Meals on Wheels in Gilbert, Chandler and Sun Lakes.
Although Aurelia will be dearly missed, the family finds comfort knowing she is at peace with family and friends who passed before her.

January 15, 2021 at 1:17 pmAurelia was someone who spoke her mind, (you knew if she didn’t like or approve of something) but she was also kind, supportive and loved you regardless. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and would often reach out to them saying “Let me see you, let me see you” in the softest sweetest voice. She could reach into a refrigerator where I would think there nothing to eat and create the most wonderful tasting meals.
I am grateful for Aurelia helping me to support my family by referring me to a PT position that opened up at one of the senior centers she prepared meals for. I am still working for the same programs today and its been 20 years!
My prayers for Sofio and her sons Lalo, Sam, Angel and Jaimie…..I love you all!
