Christopher Eric Lippitt died unexpectedly in his home on September 24, 2020 in Gilbert, Arizona, at the age of 36.

Chris is survived by his mother, Diane Lippitt; his wife, Michelle Lippitt (née Turner); his son, Carl Isaiah Lippitt; his sisters, Casey Friend (née Lippitt) and Caitlyn Spencer (née Lippitt); paternal grandmother, Peggy Lippitt (née Cravens); maternal grandparents Owen and Judy Smith (née Holloway). He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Lippitt and paternal grandfather, Newton Lippitt.

Chris was born on September 30, 1983 in Fort Worth, TX to Carl and Diane Lippitt. He graduated from Central Christian College of the Bible in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Youth and Family Ministry. He married Michelle, his high school sweetheart, in 2005. After moving to Albuquerque, NM, Chris began working for Apple. He excelled at service and teaching and was promoted many times. In 2012, Chris and Michelle relocated to Gilbert, AZ where he continued his career at Apple. In 2014, the couple welcomed their son, Carl. Carl remembers him as a fun, silly, and loving daddy who would pick him up to play and put him to bed. Chris took pride in being a father and loved his family immensely.

Chris’ faith in God was his foundation, integrating into every aspect of his life. He was an amazing father. He loved people fiercely and was known as a big teddy bear, always willing to give an ear, a word, or a hug. He loved mentoring others, pushing them to succeed. Chris was a passionate storyteller, remembering every detail and always including voices and accents. His game nights were beloved by everyone who attended. His generous spirit will always be remembered.

A family funeral is scheduled for 11 am Arizona/Pacific time on October 3 at Central Christian Church in Gilbert. Pastor Jon Moton will officiate the ceremony. The family is following all current health guidelines; those wishing to attend the funeral can join at https://tinyurl.com/lippittfuneral. If you feel the desire to send flowers or other gifts, the family asks you to help by contributing to Carl’s college fund through Venmo @Michelle-Lippitt. The family would like to thank Amanda Haas, Ryan Sandberg, Jeramey Penfold, Ryan Baxter, their neighbors and Chris’ Apple team for their friendship and support.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Christopher.
When a loved one dies, it can be really overwhelming. For my family and I, knowing the promise of a future reunion with our loved ones on an Earthly paradise is what keeps us hopeful. Acts 24:15
