On March 5, 2021 Danilo Viray Manasan, loving husband, Brother of 13 siblings, Father of 3 children and Grandfather of 2, passed away at the age of 71 at Chandler Regional Hospital.
Danilo was born on December 17th, 1949 in Masantol, Pampanga, Philippines to Angelo and Dorotea Manasan. He made his way to America where he started his life and career. He was a Mechanical Technician at Cubic Toll Precision where he used his ingenuity and knowledge to establish himself as one of their very best until his retirement in 2005. On January 13th, 1975 he married Elita (Crisostomo) Manasan in Virginia; they later moved to New Jersey where he raised his three children. His oldest Daughter Virgie L. (Manasan) Johnson married to husband Jeffery A. Johnson and has a Daughter, Kayla A. Johnson. His second child, Daughter Emely C. (Manasan) Tucay married Kevin P. Tucay. His Son, the youngest, Daniel J. Manasan has a Son, Devin K. Manasan.
Danilo’s passion and strength was his Family. He enjoyed being a Brother to his siblings, a Father to his children, a Grandfather to his Grandkids and a devoted and loving Husband to his Wife of 46 wonderful years. He enjoyed the simple pleasure of life seeing the smile of his loved ones and hearing the laughter that followed along. His joy was always attached to the people he came in contact with and reached in all walks of life. His persona commanded respect in any room he walked in. He was kind and firm, fierce but still approachable. He was whatever he needed to be for his Family. He was known for his humor and quick retorts. He enjoyed sharing and cooking his many different dishes for his Family and friends. He was a Catholic and a God fearing man, his faith and his Family is what kept him whole.
He is survived by his wife Elita, his three children Virgie, Emely, and Daniel, his Grandkids Devin and Kayla and siblings Wilfredo, Flordeliza Macalino, Rosalinda Torio, Eloiza Ignacio, Rolando, Angelo Jr., Arlene Ronquillo, Marites Maglanoc, Rizaldy, Arthur, Lilibeth Salazar. He also has two brothers Reynaldo and Victor Manasan that he is now reunited with in Heaven. A viewing will be held 5pm to 8pm on March 17, 2021 at Legacy Funeral Home Chandler Chapel 1374 N. Arizona Avenue Chandler AZ, 85225 and church mass will be held the following day at 11 am on March 18, 2021 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church 230 W. Galveston St, Chandler AZ. 85225.
