Gerald Lee Flanagan was born October 7th 1938 in Bell, California. Gerald grew up in Pico Rivera, CA and attended El Rancho High School where he excelled in track & field and football. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 24th 1957. He was stationed at Fort Rucker Alabama until January 26th 1959. After he came home he attended Santa Barbara City College where he met his first wife, Lynn Ripley who he had 3 children with. He went on to graduate from USC with a bachelor’s degree in science and began a career in the stock market. For many years Gerald lived in the West los Angeles area, then moved to San Francisco until the early 1990’s and finally settled in Arizona for the remainder of his life. He passed away on September 21st 2021 in Chandler, Arizona just shy of his 83rd birthday.
Gerald was known for his intelligence, quick wit and dry sense of humor. He loved sports, the ocean, music and meeting new people.
