    Bette Jo says

Jacki Lea Garrett, beloved sister of Bette Jo and daughter of Robert and Mona Garrett, passed away on May 14, 2019, after a long illness. She was born in San Francisco, California. She lived in Alaska, Colorado, New Mexico, and California as a child growing up, and as an adult she lived in California, Texas, and most recently, Arizona. Jacki was a warm, perceptive, and loving person with a lightning-quick wit and a beautiful laugh. She could strike up a conversation with anyone she met. In her working life, she held administrative jobs in retail sales, photo processing, real estate development, and finance. She loved photography and was trained in color photography printing, and she enjoyed reading, puzzles, haiku poetry, and selecting gifts for the people she loved. She had a tender heart for animals and particularly for her cats, whom she cherished. She is survived by her sister Bette Jo, her brother Darrell and his family, her sister-in-law Elisabeth, her niece Sebrina, and her great-nephew Zachary. Her parents and her brother Donn preceded her in death. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services, but in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to animal care/animal rescue organizations.
