JoseLuis M. Gomez, 54, Former EMT paramedic, gained his angel wings on May 10, 2020, at 2:48 p.m. on Sunday at the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM, from illness sustained during the 2020 pandemic (CoVid 19 ) in the Alamo Navajo Indian Reservation.
Mr. Gomez was born August 9,1965, in his hometown, Guadalupe,Arizona. And was a lifelong area resident.
Despite his battles he went through, he always bounced back. In his adult years, he lived in Tucson for a few years then moved to New Mexico where he resided for a few more years. Mr. Gomez worked as a student teacher then served as an EMT for many years for the community in Alamo, NM.
He is survived by his partner, Angjahlic Apachito, his daughters, Jeanette Romero, Prescilla Gomez(21) and Monique Gomez(16); Sons, JoseLuis Valenzuela(22) and Jose Miguel Gomez(19); Two Brothers, Patricio Gomez and Richard Gomez; Three Grandchildren, Efran Romero, Angelique Romero and Emmanuel Romero and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juana Matus and Mercedez Gomez and his brother, Giligan Gomez.
At his request many years ago, his service will be held in his hometown of Guadalupe, Arizona at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2020, at the Yaqui Temple until midnight. The following day there will be a Funeral Mass in his honor at 8 a.m. with burial in the Guadalupe Cemetery.
