Maureen Kartchner, 66, passed away on February 10, 2020, in Phoenix, Arizona. A memorial service is being planned by her church family at Desert Foothills United Methodist Church in Phoenix. Her family will be planning another memorial service in New Jersey.
Maureen was born on May 12, 1953, to Robert and Kathleen (Gaffney) Urban. She received a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Northern Arizona University. In addition to her passion for educating herself and others, Maureen loved her church community and was an active member, serving as an instructor, for their Stephen Ministry program. She enjoyed reading, talking with friends and family, playing rummy, watching Hallmark channel movies, and traveling to visit and vacation with family.
Maureen is survived by her daughters, Kelly Wilson and Lee Ann Pearcey, who she loved and cherished and grandson Nathan Pearcey, who she adored. She is also survived by her sisters; Geraldine and her husband Warren Wormann Sr, Kathleen and her husband Keith Conrad, Colleen and her husband Frank Lizotte, brother Frank Urban and his wife Theresa. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Amanda Wormann, Keith Conrad, Crystal Gorsuch, Angel Conrad, Harmony Reina, Frank Urban, Joy Urban, Ciji Urban, Ryan Lizotte, Brianna Lizotte, Olivia Lizotte and Kayleigh Lizotte.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Kathleen Urban, brother Robert Urban and nephew Warren Wormann Jr.
