Michael Hays, 70, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2021, in Tempe, Arizona. Michael was born in Rock Island, Illinois, on December 28, 1950, to Lester and Jean Hays. Michael served four years in the United States Navy, and then went on to have a fulfilling career with the National Weather Service. He went on to retire at the age of 55, and enjoyed living life. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Lester Hays; mother, Jean Hays; and granddaughter, Fiasia Perry. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen Hays; his 2 children, Christina (Stephen) Perry and Cassie Hays; his sister, Kathleen Buchanan; numerous nieces and nephews ; 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 10 am until 12 pm at Legacy Funeral Home Rose Chapel, 1130 S. Horne, Mesa, Arizona. 85204.
