The world lost one heck of a cowgirl, Nancy Saline, age 67, passed away on August 30, 2021 in Mesa, AZ. Nancy was born in Safford, AZ on November 5, 1953, to Eldred and Elna Saline.
Nancy was spunky, quick witted, and always up for a good time. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Pima, AZ.
She attended school in Pima and Tucson, AZ, where she graduated from Flowing Wells High School.
Nancy worked for the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office as a Law Enforcement Dispatcher for many years and many other agencies. Nancy was also a hairdresser and a care giver. She loved working with her clients.
Nancy grew up with a deep love for horses. She enjoyed barrel racing and working feed lots when she lived in Dalhart, TX. Nancy loved to support her daughter, grand daughter, and all her nieces in the barrel arena. She was coach to many barrel racers, most of which will never forget her. She was also a strong supporter of her grandson and his friends in the bull riding arena. Most of them called her “Mom”.
Nancy loved the outdoors, camping, and was always up for a road trip. Especially when casino’s were involved – MAX BET!!! Always a good time when Nancy was there. She loved to have fun and hang out with her friends.
Nancy dedicated her life to being a mother, grandma, and great-grandma. She gave herself unselfishly to the care of her family.
She leaves behind her daughter Holly Jo Taylor, grandson Kayleb Ty Erwin, granddaughter Cody Jo Sparks, great-grandson Cooper Ty, sister Diana Hunt (Milo), and brother Eddy Saline.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Eldred and Elna Saline, and 2 brothers Seth Saline and Donald Saline.
A celebration of life will be held Sept. 18, 2021.
