My deepest condolences to Ruby and her family. Ray was a true, dedicated friend of mine. I will greatly miss the Husker game days we spent watching our favorite team. Our discussions often went beyond football to his love for his family, often telling me stories about his grand children and great grand children. I treasure those times and the role model I strive to be. Go Big Red.

I just found out about Ray’s passing and my sincere condolences to Ruby and all of Ray’s family. I met Ray back around 2004 when he was kind enough to let me sit with him, Mike Savage and Don in a crowded bar to watch our beloved Huskers play. Little did I know it was the beginning of a very special friendship. Ray always watched out for me and over the years became a dear friend. We loved our Huskers, but I enjoyed how he always updated us on his family…. oh how he love his family and was so proud of everyone. I will always treasure all those many conversations and times spent together. Rest in peace my friend…. and as always Go Big Red!
