On May 19th, 2021, Roger “Rog” Alarie, loving father and brother, passed away at the age of 65.
Roger is survived by his two children, Michelle and Ryan Alarie, and sisters, Diane Wright and Elaine Slattery. Roger is preceded in death by his father, Alfred, mother, Mary Ellen, brother, Michael, and sisters, Phyllis, Jackie, and Kathy.
Roger was born August 5th, 1955, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born to father, Alfred Joseph Alarie, and mother, Mary Ellen Baker. Roger moved to Arizona at a young age with his mother and siblings. Growing up, Roger had a passion for playing sports. In high school, he was a star athlete in both basketball and baseball. He was admired in the Scottsdale community for his athleticism and was frequently recognized in the Scottsdale Progress newspaper. 152 times to be exact! In his later years, Roger was an avid fisherman and golfer. Several days a week, you could find him at the Papago Golf Course with his friends. Roger also loved keeping the Alarie family tradition alive by taking his family fishing up in the White Mountains. Family was a significant part of Roger’s life. He never missed an opportunity getting together with family and friends. Whether it was the sunny beaches of Rosarito, Mexico, an intense game of Hearts, or a family packed BBQ. Roger was known for his sense of humor and enormous heart. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all that knew him.
Rest in peace, Roger. You were, and always will be loved by so many.
