Sharon Kay Hamrin (Johnson), 76, of Gold Canyon, Arizona, formerly of Elgin, Illinois, passed away on February 13, 2021.
Sharon was born on March 12, 1944 to Roy and Marion Johnson (McCleary) in Joliet, Illinois. She was a member of Fairmont Methodist Church. After graduating from Lockport Township High School in 1962, she attended Joliet Junior College and met her future husband Jim Hamrin. They married in 1965, moved to Elgin, Illinois and went on to have two children, Scott and Jodi. She worked as a bookkeeper for a number of businesses in the area.
After retiring in 2003, Sharon and Jim moved to Gold Canyon, Arizona. They enjoyed traveling, exploring Arizona, visiting friends and family, cruising, and going to restaurants and casinos. She loved to attend her grandchildren’s concerts and sporting events. She will be missed and remembered as a fun loving, sweet, kindhearted person who loved to have a great time.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Marion. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jim; her son Scott (Susan), their children Kyleigh, Kaitlyn and Shane; her daughter Jodi (David) Hall and their children Lauren and Stephen. She is also survived by her cousins Denny (Peggy) Lapikas, Patti Hagerbome and Rollie (Pat) Bolattino and goddaughter Tracy (Eric) Nash.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 19th at 5:00 pm at Legacy Funeral Home, 1374 North Arizona Ave, Chandler, Arizona 85225.
