It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy Contreras, age 90, on April 1, 2024. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. 

Born on April 12, 1933, Peggy was a beloved wife to Dionicio Contreras, a devoted mother, a loving nana, and a cherished friend to many.

She lived a life filled with love, kindness, and compassion. Her gentle spirit and unwavering generosity touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be remembered for her generous hospitality and her wonderful home cooking. 

Peggy is survived by her brother Lorenzo Crespin and her eight children: Bennie Mendoza, Betty Ramirez, Freddy Mendoza, Raymond Mendoza, Don Contreras, Flora Guerriero, Sandy Cantu, and Michael Contreras. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dionicio Contreras, and her two children, Manuel Mendoza and Alfred Mendoza. 

The memory of Peggy will forever remain in our hearts. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her legacy of family, love, and devotion will continue to inspire and guide us. 

A visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 5-7pm at Legacy Rose Chapel Funeral Home, 1130 S. Horne, Mesa, AZ 85204.
